                                                 Class Evaluation

 1. Something I liked about this class was when we would take 5 minutes to write goals in our goals journal. It really helped me improve my grades and be more confident in myself.

2. Something I didn't like about this class was writing the student success statements. Mostly all statements  had the same meaning, to choose the right.

3. I recommend to do more fun activities once in a while.

4. The highlight for me in this class was the journal with all my goals and the speeches Mr. Haymore gave.

5. In the first semester I didn't do good. Until the second I tried my best to finish all the work and attend this class.

6. I am reading my life planning goals journal everyday because it helps me be the person I really wanna be.

7. I am committed to be a CTR person because it will help me be successful.

8. I will teach my family and friends to always be good because if you do good things will happen to you.

9. Something I will always remember about this class is Mr. Haymore. He gave us good advice and was always so caring. He's a great teacher.
“You will go far with CTR” -Mr.Haymore

This quote means to always do what’s right. If you do what’s right you’ll be successful. Unlike other people who will go down for their actions. Be someone you’ll be proud of. A person with values and morals. For example, if your in the soccer team and your the best one there , everyone is going to respect you. But if you start doing drugs people are going to change the way they think about you. You’ll be kicked off the team and will not be able to go for that career because of the mistake you did. Go the right path to deserve something good. Always choose the right.

   The Ultimate Choice
Of all choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all other-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your life. This one choice, The ultimate choice, is your keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice.

The ultimate choice is: To be a CTR person-to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7! -Mr. Haymore

This quote means to always do what’s best. Even if you're in really bad times you’re always supposed to choose the right. By doing this, you will always achieve what you want in life. You’ll be successful. If you do what’s wrong these bad things will follow you your whole life. You’ll end up regretting it. For example, if your taking a test and the answers are right next to you and you copy, your doing a bad thing. You’re not being honest. But if you let the teacher know about it she’ll be able to trust you for telling the truth. Always do what’s better for you and others.

                   The Harmful Effects of Tobacco

Tobacco can cause emphysema (lung disease) and lung cancer. 90% of teens smoke. They keep on smoking till their adult years because they are already addicted. I would encourage people to stop smoking by telling them it’s bad for their health. They can die because of it. It’s not even worth it.

\

I promise to never use tobacco.

                                   Beautiful Character

“If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”
                                                   Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.  -Chinese Proverb

This quote means that if you are a really good and respectful person the world would be so much better. No one would be fighting it would just be so peaceful. Everyone just getting along with each other. One example of a beautiful character is when you share your things with others. People that are selfish don’t have a good character. So always be good and everyone that surrounds you will not disrespect you.

Challenges Teens Face Today

Teens deal with people bullying them or with acne. The main challenge I’m dealing with today is acne. I’m washing my face everyday and making sure I don’t eat a lot of junk food. Being a ctr person helps you overcome any challenge because you’ll never go the wrong path and things will get better for you. I can help other teens overcome their challenges by giving them advice or telling them that everything is going to be fine.

Reflection: The greatness need that teens have is doing drugs and skipping school.

Summary
Malik Stewart lost his game but still had great honor to go to the winners dad who had cancer and hug him. Others wouldn’t do that. Stewart is a respectful young boy. In the other hand Roman Chapa is a cheater. He electrocuted his horse so it can be scared and run faster in order to win. He’s a very dishonest person who was a bad name now.

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.” -Sophocles

This quote means that you’ll feel better if you do the right thing. Cheating is something bad and will get back at you. If you win , win by being loyal to yourself and others. For example, if your at a game and you’re about to lose so you cheat in order to get yourself to win , people won’t look at you the same. They will never honor your name or respect you because of the things you did. Always be honest.

                                         “Memorial Day”

Memorial is a day on which those who died in active military service. They are remembered on the last Monday in May. Some ways to show honor and respect on Memorial Day is to go visit a local veterans grave. Also, you can go to a Memorial day parade or watch it on tv. Something ima do on Memorial day to show honor and respect is to go to the closest veterans hospital and take some thank you letters.

Memorial day is a really special day for everyone. It makes me sad that they went though a lot and now they’re gone forever. Also, I am very thankful that they did that for us. They should be really be appreciated. People should do something to remember them. Memorial Day should never be forgotten. Everyone should care for those who died for us.

Eight Great Reasons to Tell the Truth

  • Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened. There’s less chance of misunderstanding, confusion, or conflict.
  • Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished.
  • Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened.
  • You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than lying (and getting caught).
  • Other people trust you more when you tell the truth.
  • You don’t have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep your story straight.
  • You gain a reputation for being truthful-a trait most people value.
  • Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside.

These 8 reasons why telling the truth is important means that people are going to trust those who never lie. Lying is a bad thing and shouldn’t happen. People feel good when honest people surround them. For example, if you get caught ditching school & you tell your parents you did it because you were feeling sick they’ll probably not believe you. You’ll just get into more trouble. But if you’re honest with them about the situation your punishment won’t be that bad. Always do what’s right and tell the truth.

“If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.” -Dan Dierdorf

This quote means that if you keep your goals going you’re going to be successful. If you are doing what is right with them then you’ll get something good out of it. For example, if you have a journal and you’re writing many goals in there you’ll have something to look forward to. It’s always right to get some inspiration. But if your goals harm others don’t expect to get a nice future. Bad things will always come with bad consequences. So remember to follow your dreams and do what’s right.

An internal phenomenon

“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self worth), integrity and self-esteem.” -Dr. Laura Schlessinger

This quote means that if you do what’s right you’ll honor yourself. Everyone is going to look up to you. You are inspiring other people to do better. If you chose the wrong then you’ll just have low self esteem and no one is going to want to be around you. For example, if you find money and don’t give it back to rightful owner you’re being unfair. You’re not going to receive something good out of it. But if you actually give it to the right owner you’ll have integrity. You’ll get something good out of it. People want to be around those who are capable of doing productive things in life. So don’t mess up and remember to choose the right path.

            Phillip Riggs’ Four Success Tips

  1. Work hard.
  2. Follow your passions .Do things you are interested in doing
  3. Don’t chase after money.
  4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you.

These 4 tips mean to follow your dreams. Do what you love most. Don’t just get a job for the money. You’ll end up getting tired of it. That’s why Phillip Riggs’ is saying to do something you’ll always be proud to do. For example, if you get a job as a lawyer but you think it’s really boring your not going to be really good at it. You’ll just want to go home or not even attend work. But if you like designing clothes then go for it. It’s way better . So always pick what you desire to do in life .

                 The Right Thing

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.” -Theodore Roosevelt

This quote means that doing the right thing will benefit you. It doesn’t matter if you won’t be that popular or whatever the thing that matters the most is that you’re choosing the right way. For example, if your friends are bullying a kid don’t be scared and stand up for the boy that’s getting hurt. If your friends get mad and they don’t wanna be with you anymore it’s okay. Being alone is better than choosing the wrong path. Also, it’s better than hanging out with the wrong people. No one wants to be around them because they’re mean and disrespectful. So just do what you know is best for you and everyone else who surround you. When it comes to decision make one that you’ll always feel good about. Don’t make one that’ll make you regret it.                                                  Nothing
“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.” -Wilfred Woodruff

This quote means that good things won’t come if you don’t do what’s right. If you want to be successful but you go rob people you won’t be able to make it there. Be respectful and hard working. For example, if your in a sport at school and you bully someone don’t expect to be in there any longer. People will find out and you’ll just be out of the team. You’’ll obtain nothing if you keep being unfair and dishonest. But if you’re kind to those who surround you , good things will come to you. Never chose what’s wrong.

Do the right thing at the right time.

“It’s a GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.” - Pam Knox

This quote means that when you do something that’s right you feel good. If you do something bad you’ll end up regretting it. For example, if you help out your mom cook food because she was busy, you’ll feel proud. Another example is if you go with your friends to rob a store. At the moment you’ll feel pressured and feel good about yourself because your friends are going to think you’re cool. But NO. Later on you’ll be disappointed in yourself thinking why you even did that. So remember to do what you know is best.

“I have been asked what I mean by ‘word of honor.’ I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I’d die first.”

This quote means to always keep your word. If you promise someone something don’t break it. A promise is something big in life. If you break it karma will get you back. For example, if your friend tells you something personal and makes you promise you won’t tell anyone , then you don’t. You have to keep it. Don’t go around telling other people her business.                         “A promise must never be broken” -Alexander Hamilton

This quote means to always commit to what you said. Keep your word.Keeping your word also defines who you are. If you don’t they’ll think you’re dishonest. But if you do they’ll think you’re responsible. For example, if your mom told you to be home by 8, you should be there at that time. This quote means that being good is always an accomplishment. You’ll never fail in anything if you choose what’s right. For example, if you help a classmate out in their homework you’ll feel good. But if you let them copy it would be unfair. That person was being hardworking for the other lazy person to come and copy something they didn’t do. Both would be being dishonest.     They’re right

                                                 “My basic principle
is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because you are cheap; you don’t make them because you’re popular; you make them because they’re right.”

This quote means to always do what’s right. When you make decisions they should be positive. For example, if someone is willing to let you copy the classwork and you actually do it you’re leading yourself to bad consequences. You have to make a decision whether copying it or not. “It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound.” (not good) - Joseph Smith

I think this quote means that the simpler the better. People who wanna be popular never do good. For example, if someone wants to join a group and the group member is telling them that in order to be in it they have to go do something bad and the person does it, consequences will end up bad. But if you always do good and sound good you’re choosing the right.
