I think this quote means that the person you are is the thing that matters the most. People will always look at the way you do something. Either it’s about having manners or something else. For example, if you just go into your family party without saying hi to them first they're gonna think you’re rude. Always have something to say when you arrive somewhere whether it’s a good morning or something else.
